Fishing is a well known sport in which you catch fish using either traditional methods like spears, to much more common methods like fishing rods. You can use many things when it comes to fishing. Some people like to use a bow and arrow when it comes to fishing. In fishing, it's all about patience when trying to catch a fish. It is also somewhat a test of strength. Certain fish can vary in size, weight, etc. Fishing can be fun, and very rewarding.
In terms of legality, a license is always required within the United States (as far as I know of). Whenever you catch a fish, depending on your location, you can keep yours, or either put it back into the water. Putting it back into the water is a more sensible thing to do, while keeping it is more of a choice. Most places in the world cannot obtain food, so fishing is a way of life for a lot of coastal towns, like places in Africa. In America, as long as the spot in which you fish at is legal, fishing is legal, but in places like lakes, or places run by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, it can vary over keeping fish or not, as they are dedicated to the management of fish, wildlife, and natural habitats. Many places where you can fish in America make it so you can't take a fish with you, and you can only place the fish back where it belongs. There are also other stuff you need to worry about in fishing, like illegal fishing methods. These kinds of methods can involve the harming of wildlife, and many more. For example, bycatch, keeping oversized and undersized fish, and overfishing is considered illegal. Keeping undersized fish and over the limit in the State of Georgia can lead to a fine of $500 per charge. Fishing without a license is also illegal, and can lead to a fine of $170 in the State of Georgia.
